Galileo meraviglia

Galileo in Padova

Every evening, with great pleasure and wonder, Galileo observed a new world with his telescope.

In addition to the well-known  figure of scientist, Galileo was also a person of letters, a talented man, a methodical explorer of the unknown.  He defined  the eighteen  years he spent in Padova  as “the best years of his entire life”. In that period, Galileo found a liberal and tolerant environment, particularly suitable to host and express his genius .

In cooperation with Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio ( the organizer of  the exhibition Rivoluzione Galileo) the University of Padova presents “Galileo meraviglia” (Amazing Galileo), a series of events that highlight  the unusual  and less known characteristics of the famous scientist.

For this special event a promotional entrance ticket of 2 euros  will be available to all students, academics and personnel of our University  and a discounted ticket of 10 euros for their companion (only one companion allowed).  In order to get the discounted fare the University personal badge must be shown at ticket counter.
